I write, mostly about books and authors. These days you’re most likely to find me at the Globe and Mail, but I’ve written for lots of places: the Toronto Star, National Post, Maclean’s, Quill & Quire, the Walrus, Zoomer, and others. For seven years I was editrix of Canadian Notes & Queries, the country’s oldest magazine of literary criticism. I’ve ghostwritten books, including a national bestseller (sorry, can’t tell you which), and a decent number of the ones I’ve edited have won or been nominated for big Canadian awards.
